Anglian Water to attend Parish Council meeting
After the burst water main in Stutton on the 9th July 26 villagers raised their concerns about the fear of further leaks

At the Stutton Parish Council meeting of the 13th July 26 residents of Stutton voiced their concerns about the burst water main which had occurred just four days earlier. The impact for people losing their water supply was thankfully short lived with a quick response and repair by Anglian Water. However, the road outside the School in Holbrook Road was closed for eight days. This caused major disruption with bus services cancelled and the official diversion being lengthy. Locals who knew the area could find a way round using Church Field Road but this is mostly single track and even small vehicles had difficulty.
As we all know – this is not the first such water mains failure and many of us are worried there will be further similar incidents.
The Parish Council have asked for Anglian Water to attend the next Parish Council meeting and they have agreed. Why not come along to the Community Hall at 7.30pm on Monday 10th August 2026 and listen as Anglian Water answer our questions. It is an open meeting so anyone can attend and if you have issues which are not answered in their response then you are free to ask your question yourself.
