Oak House offers extra care housing including a lounge, dining room, laundry, guest facilities, garden, community centre, hairdressing salon, jacuzzi and library.
Built in 2004 there are 36 one bedroom and two bedroom. flats inncluding mobility and wheelchair standard properties and a lift to the first floor. There is an assisted bathing facility. The whole site is accessible by wheelchair.
As an Extra Care scheme there are care staff on-site 24 hours, 7 days a week.) The management staff are non-resident.
Access to the site is fairly easy. There is a bus stop 600 yards way; the GP surgery is in Holbrook is 2.75 miles.Stutton Community Shop and Cafe is 600 yards, and also does deliveries to Oak House. There is a post office in Holbrook (2.75 miles) or Manningtree (5 miles). Ipswich town centre is 8 miles.
Oak House is a lively and friendly development with a range of social activities and events for residents to enjoy including bingo sessions, fish and chip suppers and music evenings.
Some meals available – main meals 5 days a week.
New residents accepted from 55 years of age. Both cats & dogs generally accepted, but not to be replaced.
